Privacy Policy
Last updated 24 July 2026
Cue Killer is an iOS app and website for running live shows. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the app, create an account, redeem access, or purchase a subscription.
Your shows, cues, and imported media remain on your device. Account and subscription records are stored securely so Cue Killer can sign you in and determine your access. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers.
Information we process
When you create or use an account, we process:
- Your email address, account identifier, and profile details you choose to provide, such as username and name.
- Your access status, subscription plan and renewal or expiration date.
- Promo-code assignments and redemptions.
- Basic security and service logs, such as request time, network information, and errors, produced by our hosting providers.
We use this information to authenticate you, provide account access, process and manage subscriptions, prevent abuse, support customers, and operate Cue Killer.
Payments
Subscription checkout and billing management are provided by Stripe. Stripe receives the payment and billing information you enter on its hosted pages. Cue Killer does not receive or store your full card number. We retain Stripe customer, subscription, and transaction references needed to keep your access current and provide support.
What stays on your device
Everything you create or import lives only in the app’s storage on your device:
- Your shows, cue lists, and settings.
- Slides, images, audio, and video you import into the media library.
- Remote-button mappings and trigger phrases.
This show content is not uploaded to our account or billing systems. Deleting the app removes locally stored content unless you separately exported or backed it up.
Device features the app uses
Cue Killer asks for permission only for the features you choose to use, and uses them only while the app is open:
- Camera: to show a live video feed as part of your show and send it to a connected display. Video is shown live and is not recorded or sent to us.
- Microphone: for audio level and for hands-free voice triggers when you turn listening on.
- Speech recognition: voice triggers use Apple’s Speech framework to turn what you say into a matching cue phrase. This processing is handled by Apple and governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. Cue Killer does not keep recordings.
- Local network: the optional web remote serves a control page to a browser on another device on your own Wi-Fi. Nothing leaves your local network and no data passes through us.
- Bluetooth: to connect a Flic or similar remote button. Used only to receive button presses.
- External display (HDMI): to send your show output to a screen you connect.
Service providers
We use service providers only where needed to operate Cue Killer:
- Supabase for account authentication and database services.
- Stripe for subscription checkout and billing.
- Netlify to host the website and server functions.
- Apple for App Store, TestFlight, Sign in with Apple, and device services you choose to use.
We do not sell personal information, run third-party advertising, or use your account data for cross-site behavioral advertising.
App Store distribution
Cue Killer is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect crash logs and basic usage data, subject to your device settings. That collection is done by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy, not by us. If you previously used the TestFlight beta, any crash and usage data Apple collected there was likewise handled by Apple, not by us.
Children
Cue Killer is a professional show-control tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Retention and security
We keep account and entitlement records while your account is active and as reasonably needed for support, security, legal, and financial recordkeeping. We use access controls and encrypted connections, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated date above will change. Material changes will be noted on this page.
Data deletion
Your shows, cues and media live on your device: deleting the app deletes that local copy. To request deletion of your Cue Killer account and associated personal data, email chrismclarelli@icloud.com from the address on the account with the subject “Data deletion request.” Some billing or security records may be retained when required by law or legitimate recordkeeping needs.
